The Rugby Touch
As explained in its name "TOUCH" which comes from the verb "to touch" which means "touch" in English, the touch does not authorize violent contact and thus the rugbystic placards of the term. This particularity allows the mix of this sport. Often associated with rugby at 5, it is nevertheless much different and is a full sport with its own international federation.
Rugby Touch Is Played per team of 6 players in the field and with a maximum of 14 players including replacements.
The defenders must touch The two-hand ball carrier simultaneously, between the waist and shoulders. Defenders cannot play the ball in the hands of the ball bearer. Defendants can retrieve the balloon on interception or on the ground to counter-attack.
